Day 6
Subjective: Mrs. X reported that earlier this week she was attacked by a child in her program at work.
She was able to block and protect her right arm but has bruising on her left arm. Left work for the
reminder of that day. Still trying to figure out how to type, use mouse, etc while being in her sling.
Objective: Thickened tissue under right bicep remains. AAROM in supine (on back) 170 degrees. Soft
tissue mobilization (movement) to break up scar tissue. Completed exercises with verbal cueing to
ensure proper technique. Applied compression and ice to reduce swelling.
Assessment: Re-emphasized the importance of protecting her right arm and having assistance at work
when treating patients. Mrs. X continues to progress with ROM and will be able to increase to
isometrics. Mrs. X has been compliant with her home program and is excited to be able to progress in
her rehabilitation program.
Plan: Continue with rotator cuff repair protocol.
